Crafty Question: Cricut or Silhouette?

I have decided I would like to get either a Cricut or a Silhouette cutting machine (considering there is a wedding in my future I can see a lot of great uses for these nifty tools!) but I need some advice from all the wildly talented crafters out there!  So please leave me some feedback on your experiences!

I think my first crafty project of the new year will be a new wreath for our front door.  It always looks kind of lonely and sad after Christmas.  Of course, for inspiration I turned to Pinterest.  I really like these wreaths and need to decide which one to tackle:

So, do you Sew?

Are you a seamstress?  I. Am. Not.  

It is sad really that this skill has evaded me for 40+ years...and especially through the years when I had small children.  It isn't that I had no interest. I had lots of interest....just not a lot of stick-to-itness.  Some how, I missed those classes when I was in school and I came from a Mother who apparently hated to sew.  But now that I am completely addicted to Pinterest my desire to be able to sew has reared it's crafty head again.  There are just too many cute things!!!!  I love fabric and feel like I could do so much if I just knew how to sew.  I have a friend who says she can teach me and I think I just might have to take her up on her offer (and hope we remain friends through the learning process!)

and I am tired of this weather, how about you?

I am just about sick to death of hearing about cold, and snow, and ice!!!  I am so over the miserable weather that I can't even come up with anything original to blog about that doesn't contain a big dose of grumble!  I need something fun and festive!  Of course, Martha Stewart is right there with some great ideas for cute gifts for Valentine's Day (which, by the way, is ONLY a month away!).

Happy 3 Months until Christmas!

Yes!  It is only 3 months until Christmas!!!  How are you doing on your preparations?  I got started this week and one gift is taken care of.  It feels good to make some progress and know that is one less stress for closer to the big day! 

Also, I looked at Martha Stewart's Christmas Craft ideas and saw these adorable little pinecone guys.  Aren't they just the cutest?  Check out the link above, I am sure you will find something that wil get you exited about getting a jump on the season.  I do love to do holiday crafts but find if I wait until the seson arrives there is never time to do them, so I love seeing all thise ideas early.
