Donna, the photo is from the mid to late 50s and that is my grandmother cooking away in her kitchen. The knife she is using was her favorite and she still used it at her death just 5 years ago (the blade was literally just a sliver of metal at that point). Yes, I think I could be happy to have some of this simplicity!
