2013 Coming to a blessed end!

I have finally found some direction and plan on coming back to Southern Somedays and I hope you will join me on my journey to grow my faith and learn more about what God has planned for me.  2013 brought the darkest season of my life, but I am determined not to let "anyone dull my sparkle!"  God has been faithful when I have been faithless.

If you have read Southern Somedays for any time you will see much more of my faith on display because the only reasoning I can understand for my recent season of life is that God is trying to teach me and maybe, just maybe, I am meant to share that with others in pain.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
~Psalm 115:1

  2. Michelle, I am glad you are back. I am going to be jumping back into the blogging world myself, soon, just having my blog a make-over at the moment.

I read this that Rick Warren wrote when his son died and it really struck a chord with me. Shock—when your world falls apart. Sorrow—when your heart breaks. Struggle—when you don’t understand. Surrender—how to experience God’s peace. Sanctification—how God turns bad to good. Service—how to use your pain for good.

I have realized for myself, God wants us to use our sanctification and our service to help other hurting people to give them hope. I won’t lie, some of the bad things I have been through that I thought at the time had destroyed me, won’t be easy to share but I have felt for a long time God leading me there.

Glad you are back and I pray 2014 is a year full of blessings and favor.

  6. I'm glad you're back Michelle. You're a damn fine writer, and you need to be writing. You know, I've always believed that the trials and dark times we live through are often those things that show us a ministry, or can have a purpose in our lives. God uses everything, nothing is wasted. I have a cuff that I had made that says "Tell Your Story." You will have the opportunity one day, hard as it may be to tell it, where you can share your story to someone who will be helped, simply by your words of encouragement.
