Death of a Router...

I haven't been a very good blog friend lately (not updating here or visiting at all the other wonderful blogs, either).  The reason is that my wireless router has bitten the dust.  Yep, dead as a door-nail.  So, when I have used the computer recently, I have been tethered to the wall, and since we have had such gorgeous weather and tons of things to do, I haven't been using it near as much as usual!  Normally, I like to curl up with a blanket and read blogs on the sofa or in bed or outside on the front porch, but now  that I am back working at the desk, I am not reading as much. We are going to wait until our move to get a new router so as to have the right thing for the new home (or at least that is what I have been told!). So, blog friends, I promise I haven't forgotten about you and hope you don't forget about me!

2. Getting a letter (or email) from my dear, sweet husband and seeing him be a great father.

3. My 3 amazing children...they are just happiness defined

4. Reading a really great piece of Southern Fiction...with magazines thrown in there for good measure!

5. Time with those special friends that I have a true, deep connection with

6. Spending uninterupted time with my husband (which is so rare)

7. Finding new Blog Friends!

8. Flowers and gardening

9. The beach.

Easter 2010

I hope you had a blessed Easter Celebration!  Here are a few photos taken from our day.  Sadly, I realized that we didn't get one single photo of the entire family together!

Easter Frocks....

Do you have your Easter dress yet?  Yeah, I know it is only hours away, but I am running behind this year.  I managed to get my boy's outfits ready last week and DD found and purchased her own Easter dress while at the beach on her Senior Trip last week. 

Me?  Well, I managed to find a cute little dress just this afternoon in about 15 minutes ~ tops...thankfully, it was in my size and I already have the perfect pair of fushia heels to go with it!    If I am lucky I won't sit down in church next to 3 other ladies wearing the same one.

Easter is truly the greatest of holidays!  I am so thankful that Easter happened...He is Risen!!!!

  Oh my stars...I was so honored to have 2 sweet and fabulous ladies crown me...yes, ME...a socialite in the The Preppy Mafia!!!  How completely cool is that?  Both Kim (at My life through Pink (Green and Blue, too) Colored Glasses) and Jen (at Chin Up, Pretty Smile, Give 'Em Hell) were both absolute pink and green angels by crowning me with my PM status!   THANK YOU, both!!!!!   Love you, girlies!

Hooked on Houses, have you seen it?

 

Have you see this site? IT is wonderful (and trust me... time consuming, because once you start you can't stop)!!! I love houses and this website just hits my love button. I don't know if many of you know it, but when I went to college ~ back in the day ~ I studied Interior Design; so, although I don't practice anymore, I still have a deep love of houses and homes. I suppose it is a bit voyeristic, but I just love looking at houses of all kinds.

Not to mention, with our upcoming move, I am loving looking at this website and trying to find some inspiration for our new home! Retail Therapy Thursday (on the cheap)!

Look at these cuties! I popped into a shoe shop yesterday that I hadn't been in before and I was DELIGHTED to find a couple of super-cute-shoe finds. Not only are they cute and perfect for perking up some currently unknown Spring/Summer outfit (s) but they were a steal. I snagged both pairs for only $25.00...yes, you read that correctly. Of course, they aren't designer ~ but I thought they were adorable and the wanna be frugalista in me is thrilled.
