Some new Artwork....

I love Jill Strickland's work.  These are just a few of her works that I love.  I am really thinking my new home won't be complete without one or more!
What do you think?  See more of her work at http://www.jillstricklandart.com/
Oh....and I couldn't leave this one out...
They just make me feel like I need to get a glass of sweet, iced tea and head out on the porch!

***BTW, if you are part of the blog patrol, I received NO compensation for this post (nor have I for any others, for that matter).

Prom 2010...round ONE!

Last weekend DD attended her friend Adam's Senior Prom.  I refer to this post as Prom 2010...round one because we will have her prom in a couple of weeks.  So, enjoy a few photos (Thanks to Adam's Mom!) ...
Ahhhhh....to be 18 again!

Snooki, are you there?

When we were at the beach last week, we got a kick out of this sign (no, we didn't stop in).  It isn't so much the name of this establishment that caught my eye but.....
it was the smaller print telling you what their "specialities" are...
"LATE NIGHT FOOD & ADULT DAYCARE"
??????? Is this where Snooki and the crew hang out during the day??????

Death of a Router...

I haven't been a very good blog friend lately (not updating here or visiting at all the other wonderful blogs, either).  The reason is that my wireless router has bitten the dust.  Yep, dead as a door-nail.  So, when I have used the computer recently, I have been tethered to the wall, and since we have had such gorgeous weather and tons of things to do, I haven't been using it near as much as usual!  Normally, I like to curl up with a blanket and read blogs on the sofa or in bed or outside on the front porch, but now  that I am back working at the desk, I am not reading as much. We are going to wait until our move to get a new router so as to have the right thing for the new home (or at least that is what I have been told!). So, blog friends, I promise I haven't forgotten about you and hope you don't forget about me!

Easter 2010

I hope you had a blessed Easter Celebration!  Here are a few photos taken from our day.  Sadly, I realized that we didn't get one single photo of the entire family together!
This is one of my favorites...what a Southern Boy....laying on the porch swing waiting to go!

Easter Frocks....

Do you have your Easter dress yet?  Yeah, I know it is only hours away, but I am running behind this year.  I managed to get my boy's outfits ready last week and DD found and purchased her own Easter dress while at the beach on her Senior Trip last week.

Me?  Well, I managed to find a cute little dress just this afternoon in about 15 minutes ~ tops...thankfully, it was in my size and I already have the perfect pair of fushia heels to go with it!    If I am lucky I won't sit down in church next to 3 other ladies wearing the same one.

Easter is truly the greatest of holidays!  I am so thankful that Easter happened...He is Risen!!!!
