Music in the Air

We started the year off with a new activity.  Well, DS#2 did, that is!  He started taking piano and so far he has enjoyed it very much.  It is wonderful to see Mr.-Continually-Playing-Army sit down and practice -without being told!!!  My DD took piano for many, many years and I have missed hearing someone tickle the ivories around here.
Oh, and I have to brag on DH.  These found their way to my kitchen table last night.  He knows I have one terrible case of the Winter Blahs (and it is only mid-January!!!) so he brought home just a touch of Spring.  Tulips are my favorites!

  5. It's so great when our children learn to play the piano. My son took piano lessons until middle school. Everything he learned in those years helped with the saxaphone, guitar, and his enjoyment of music. He plays in his church praise team.

  6. Wonderful that he is enjoying the piano. Maybe a bit of maturity slipping in? Also love those tulips.

  8. I took piano when I was coming along, but I doubt anyone enjoy listening...I wasn't very good at it. However, I could play my clarinet! LOL We have 3 guitarists, a cellist, a vocalist, a percussionist....lots of music used to fill our home...now it's just me and Hubs and he hardly has time to sit and play his guitar anymore. So, enjoy it now!

  10. Michelle, love the tulips...DH did good on that call. My kids were not really interested in music which I was as a young person. I hope DS#2 continues with the lessons.

  12. That's so great that your son is taking piano lessons. Both our daughter & son took them when they were young, but only our daughter kept going with it for a few years. She can still play a bit on an electric keyboard. Our DS found his creative outlet with food. Guess that's why he's a chef.

I always get yearning for tulips and daffodils this time of year. Our temps here are approaching the 80's for the next few days. Hope we aren't going to eliminate Spring & move right on into Summer.
