This is our Easter Village. It finds itself on the coffee table this spring. My youngest DS2, (Dear Son born 2nd), was so excited about it this year because, at 7, he deemed himself old enough to set it up completely on his own. How sweet, right? I thought so, until I realized life with little boys is never, ever predictable...
Yes...it looks like life in Easter Village will never be the same.
I don't know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, but it looks like those pastel living bunnies are going down.
No, no I never saw this coming; and apparently neither did Bunny Homeland Security.

My sister always steals the baby Jesus out of the manger and my mom always yells really awkward things when we have people over like "The baby Jesus is NOT a toy."

ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! This year I found some "extra" visitors in my nativity scene! The sad thing about that though is that my kids are 12 and 14! :)

ReplyDelete1. That is the darned cutest Easter village ever!! I didn't even know they made those. I want one, but it would be destroyed within minutes by "baby Godzilla."
2. Those commandos show no mercy, huh? Totally a boy thing. My brother still does it to my mom's Playmobil Santa workshop...he sets Santa up chopping the elves with an axe...sigh.

Thanks for the good laugh. I had to show my husband. He grunted,” Now that's cool." I’m thinking if I allowed my husband to set up our decorations it would be a replica of what you have. Only my husband is 38 not 7, LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteSadly, I just sighed and stayed silent. I was happy he realized he needed to go outside to sight the bow in.
I love your blog and nice to find a sister in Christ. The cotillion pictures made me laugh. Both of my daughters went for a few years..I thought it was great..they did not.

ReplyDeleteMine decided to set up the Christmas Village this year and I found some similar things...army guys, matchbox cars parked INSIDE the buildings, planes crashed into roofs....apparently he was setting up "post-war Germany"!
I have an 8 y/o son. His 2nd grade teacher still holds show-and-tell and he took his army issue ammo box FULL of army and police men to school today. I thought "Now they've been everywhere"...then I saw this blog. I'm not sure if I should laugh, or run and check on my own Easter village!
