Welcome 2018!

Today marks the beginning of a bright New Year!  I have been looking forward to today; not for some particular reason, but I just placed it as a marker for myself...kind of jumping-off place.  I have goals (not resolutions!) I intend to find my way back to things I truly love...home, hearth, fashion, make-up and, of course, laughter.

I am declaring the color of 2018 as sparkle (who needs just one color if the one you love sparkles?)
 Sparkle in 2018!

Labor Day 2017

Do you have big plans for today?  I have had a house full this weekend since my daughter and her friends  came home to attend the Nascar race at Darlington, which was nice and always fun to have lots of laughter about.  They are scheduled to head home today and my son has rehearsals for Beauty and Beast (yes, today because the show opens on Friday) so it will be quiet around here.  I will be studying and trying to get a jump on the week.

Remember, though, even on quiet days filled with solitude:

2013 Coming to a blessed end!

I have finally found some direction and plan on coming back to Southern Somedays and I hope you will join me on my journey to grow my faith and learn more about what God has planned for me.  2013 brought the darkest season of my life, but I am determined not to let "anyone dull my sparkle!"  God has been faithful when I have been faithless.

If you have read Southern Somedays for any time you will see much more of my faith on display because the only reasoning I can understand for my recent season of life is that God is trying to teach me and maybe, just maybe, I am meant to share that with others in pain.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
~Psalm 115:1
